Back at the gym today. G and I are making the commitment to make it a regular part of our life, and to get back in shape. The biggest hurdle, however, is getting out of bed early every day to do it.

But here's my starting point:

• Age: 34 years, 6 months and 25 days
•• Weight: 189 clothed
•• Body Fat: 29.4%

1) 12 min recumbent bike [heart rate up to 142]
2) 12 min elliptical [heart rate up to 147]

Only 24 min total workout because I spent fifteen minutes getting the fat test, and G had to get back for a conference call. I used to go to the gym for 75 minutes, but that was -- holy hell! -- five years ago in Brooklyn.

Two observations. I sweat like a muthafucker when I'm raising my heart rate. (I used to just lift; gotta get back to that.) And as much as I'm hating it, it ain't gonna kill me.

BTW, blogging takes time. And I'd already been fucking off on the net for 35 minutes since getting home. I'm also committing to being more responsible.
